Whitco Produce Co.

The Founder and Patriarch of the Family, Walter Whittle, Jr., (right) accompanied his father, Walter Whittle, Sr., went from house to house in Whitfield County, peddling produce from area farmers as well as his own garden.   The independence and daily interaction with people in his community got into his blood.​

 

In 1948, Walter was fortunate enough to marry the love of his life and best friend, Doris Jean Graves (Left).  Together, they founded Whitco Produce Co., Inc. in 1963.  From a fledgling start up company, Whitco grew as Dalton grew and as the family grew.

 

The business has changed since Walter made his house-to-house rounds long ago.  However, one thing remains the same.  Whitco Produce Co., Inc., is still a family owned and operated business.  The front office of Whitco is manned by Walter and Doris's son, son-in-law, and two daughters.  If you call us, you'll get a cordial greeting, a first name, and the kind of service that only people from the same community can give.
